FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
(Press Release) – December 14, 2009 – Iconography The Magazine will be releasing its fifth and thickest issue to date in our Thickest Issue Ever. Thick not merely as in pages, but in the voluptuous models featured throughout these pages.
Iconography, whose sleek yet edgy feel fuses worldwide couture-derived trends with Baltimore’s gritty fashion risk-taking, is read in six countries by a growing readership of upwards of 200,000. Entering its second year, Iconography has experienced unprecedented growth in terms of regional and worldwide popularity. Each quarter, Iconography presents a publication featuring a central topic as it translates into fashion, beauty, and lifestyle. February 2010, the Winter/Spring issue, marks its “thickest” issue to date.
Traditionally, the fashion industry has notoriously undercut and overlooked the plus size fashionista. Iconography The Magazine will pay homage to the thick chick, the curvaceous mother, the voluptuous femme fatale, and the burlesque queen by highlighting industry models, fashion trends, and runway inspiration all aimed at the plus sized woman.
“No question this will be our thickest issue ever. I think that this is a first for most fashion magazines. I came up with the idea as we sat down to map out our upcoming issues for the New Year. There are many beautiful plus size ladies who deserve the same attention as the more popular straight models that you see in most fashion publications,” explains Ty Brown, Iconography’s managing editor.
The Winter/Spring issue of Iconography, affectionately titled “The Thickest Issue Ever,” also features coverage of Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week, interviews with up-and-coming designers of plus size apparel, and Kijuana Chinette, plus size stylist and owner of Kapacity Boutique, who also lends her expertise to the issue.
